Causes of Sweat

A normal level of sweating can be caused by any of the following:

 Hot Temperatures

         

Illness 

 Spicy Food

 

Exercise 

 Stress

 

Anxiety 

 Nervousness

 

Excitement

Body Odour is caused by:

1. Chemicals in Sweat, such as Pheromones, which are made by the body to sexually attract (or disgust) other people     
2.  Bacteria that live on the skin and feed on sweat    
3.  Wastes excreted through the skin; such as alcohol.    
     



Hyperhidrosis

Whilst sweating is a normal, everyday bodily function, excessive sweating or an abnormal increase in sweating is known as Hyperhidrosis. 

Mostly, the cause of hyperhidrosis is unknown, however some known causes of Hyperhidrosis are:

 Obesity            Hormonal Changes
 Fever    Diabetes
 Overactive Thyroid    Some medications
